A schoolboy was standing here and gazing outside the gate, I have no idea what he was waiting for.<br />

Rustic, laid-back, sunshine, sea-breeze, lots of food and stalls, fish village all these words come to my mind when I am thinking of Essaouira.<br />
<br />
This photo is a bit over-exposed, so I would like to tune down a bit to enhance the details, and keep the mood that I think it should be.<br />

<br />
<div>
I first walked around the alleys inside the medinia, since it is too early that no one is on the street. At around 8, children went to school, shopkeepers was getting ready for their stuff, locals were having breakfast and enjoying the morning mint tea in the small restaurants. <br />
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is one of the photo I took in the market while local people were painting the wall. The morning sun is so amazing that created a spectacular shadow on the wall, making the composition funny, looked like a painting.<br />

Most people hate the rainy weather when you are on the road. It happened on the first day I arrived Venice, and I insisted to wander around with my cameras to look for some shots.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rainy days could somehow create the mood for your shots.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You can also enhance the mood much stronger by adjust the white balance in Lightroom.</div>

<b><u>No.1: Up in the air</u></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8499/8345748543_077f7894d1_b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="274" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8499/8345748543_077f7894d1_b.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Taken in a hot airballoon ride over the land of Cappadocia at dawn.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was excited of seeing such scene, not because of the bird-eye view, cos the morning haze soaking up the atmosphere here. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was wishing I could see such magnificent scene in my last Italy trip, I wokeup early and begging for it, however I couldn't see it lastly, it never ceased to amaze me though!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This time, we woke up at 4am and took the shuttle Van to the gathering point. We started the ride at 5:30am when the sun is ready to rise. We flew up to 1000 feet high and right above the morning haze, the land seems like to be covered with a soft gauze, the land and sky are blended well by the mist!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was really excited and unbelievable I could see this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><u>No.2: Golden Cotton</u></b></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another enchanting moment taken in Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) at sunset. The sun glimpsed from the cloud, shining above the flatland. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><u>No.3: Sky runway</u></b></div>

<br />
It is unbelievable that I see such a breathtaking scene in Turkey, while we were on the way to Ankara.<br />
<div>
It is the salt lake and its size is as large as the whole HongKong area. And the perfect weather gave us the chance to see such clear reflection, endless horizon and bluesky. All these make me thinking of the salt lake in Bolivia, known as "Mirror of sky". </div>
<br />
<br />
It is the "bonus" of the trip, that I didnt expected.<br />
Life is full of surprises, also a journey of discovery!!<br />

<br />
Finally I got the time and mood to deal with my photos which I took during the trip in Turkey.<br />
I hope I could have time to keep posting more and more, since I have to start planning my another trip to [Morocco X Italy X Czech Republic] during Easter holiday.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is one of my favorite moment -- Hot air-balloon ride over the epic land of Cappadocia at dawn.<br />
The morning haze filled up the mood and that simply brew me away.<br />
It was my one of once-a life time activity, and I made it finally in 2012!!<br />
I am glad and grateful having such chances!!<br />
And surely I will come again in my future!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3085913865828770195.post-69531702210049554612012-03-31T23:52:00.000-07:002012-03-31T23:52:46.074-07:00::Quotes//The 50 most inspiring travel quotes of all time::<h3 style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 1.5em; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.2em; margin-bottom: 0.1em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">The 50 Most Inspiring Travel Quotes Of All Time</h3><div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">1. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – <a href="http://etext.virginia.edu/railton/index2.html" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #225e9b; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;" target="_blank">Mark Twain</a></div><div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">2. “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – <a href="http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02084a.htm" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #225e9b; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;" target="_blank">St. Augustine</a></div><div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline-color: initial; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">3. “There are no foreign lands. <br />
It is a paradise for me, there is a small lake, called Mrtvo More (Dead Sea), a unique lake linked with the sea, crystal clear and calm suitable for bathing and it is a favourite resort to many visitors.<br />
<br />
Secondly, the island is also inhabited by families of peacocks, it is not hard to see how they show their beauty to me :) I thought I saw 20+ peacocks around me at the same time. Is it amazing?! :)<br />

It is the first place for me to start my Lonely Planet-journey.<br />
After said goodbye to my friend in Pisa airport, I took the train to Lucca.<br />
Actually I was not planning to go Lucca that day, but I found Florence is boring to me and wanna see somethings new, so I chose Lucca. <br />
It is close to Pisa, however far from my hostel, and it was 6pm when I arrived there, so I only got 2-3 hours spent here. Not enough for me but it is fine.<br />
<br />
It is a small town, with a city wall outside. The residents here go around by a bike or by foot, and they like to run along the path inside the citywall paved with the tree, it is a very pleasant town. <br />
<br />
I will post more photos of Lucca in coming days, and my travelogue~Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3085913865828770195.post-75831320930183539632011-11-17T10:58:00.000-08:002011-11-17T10:58:50.825-08:00My Cinque Terre photographs on ItalianfixMy Cinque Terre travel photographs were uploaded to flickr last month, and sadly a torrent of rain came down and flood through the town, causing death and lost on 25 th OCT.<br />

I don't think I can achieve it easily before I listen to a ITA radio programme : <br />
<a href="http://www.itahk.net/new/forum/viewthread.php?tid=15261&extra=page%3D1">3/11第333集 國際自由行:極光中的阿拉斯加</a><br />
<br />
They said there is high chance to watch northern light in Fairbanks, it happens 240days a year - a shocking news to me!!!!!!!!!!!!<br />
Secondly, I found that a HK guy went to Alaska for watching aurora in a very low budget, around HK$11K for 15days. I can't believe this. Anyway I will target it below 25K for 10-12 days.<br />
<br />
But I am struggling about the transportation, not sure if it is impossible that I don't have a driving license.<br />
<br />
The hit period of northern light is from SEPT to MAR, and within these 3 years, and so I am considering to add it to my list.<br />
2012 May: USA with family<br />
2013 Mar: Morocco<br />
2014 Sept: Alaska<br />
2015 Dec: Italy/Germany<br />
<br />
And there is a awesome video taking the Aurora in the Universe: <br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
More info:<br />
The hit period:<br />
2011年 - 1/3~11/3、27/3~9/4、20/9~3/10、19/10~2/11<br />
2012年 - 15/3~28/3、13/4~26/4、8/9~22/9、8/10~22/10<br />
2013年 - 4/3~18/3、3/4~16/4、1/9~11/9、27/9~11/10<br />
2014年 - 23/3~6/4、22/4~5/5、16/9~30/9、16/10~30/10<br />

I got stuck with the train at Pisa that night, at around 2am.<br />
I have to wait for the next train to Firenze till 4am.<br />
And so I spent 2hrs, wandering around Pisa alone for my first visit. <br />
It is an unexpected but joyful journey.<br />
I was standing aside the river, <br />
feeling the breeze, <br />
capturing a photo of warm street light under the cool moon-light.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3085913865828770195.post-70871095367729168192011-11-15T10:05:00.001-08:002011-11-15T11:09:03.898-08:00::Photo-a-day//travel:: [My first sunrise in Pienza] <br />

drinking my fav drink - spritz,<br />
watching my last sunset in this trip.<br />
<br />
And these two birds sat aside me, sharing my chips,<br />
and talking with me.<br />
